Robert Wall, a distinguished psychiatric nurse practitioner joined the team at Borden Cottage in 2016, boasts a multifaceted career as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Advanced Practice Hospice & Palliative Nurse Practitioner. Graduating with Honors in May 2005, he earned his Masters of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from the prestigious MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. His dedication to healthcare extends beyond conventional boundaries, having obtained a degree in Divinity from the Episcopal Divinity School in 1982.

Ordained in 2007, Mr. Wall has cultivated a rich background in behavioral health, specializing in the well-being of older adults. As a life member of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, he embodies a commitment to service. His diverse expertise includes trauma treatment, mindfulness interventions, and Tai Chi. He has served as an expert instructor through Harvard’s Osher Institute and Harvard Medical School.

A prolific researcher and author, he contributed significantly to landmark studies on resilience with lymphoma patients and the effects of mindfulness on those diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment.

In 2016, he embraced semi-retirement but continued to lend his expertise to Borden Cottage, where he brings compassion and skill to his role as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Wall finds joy in flying as a private pilot and expressing his artistic side through jazz and classical guitar. Residing in Maine since 2013 he remains dedicated to promoting well-being and alleviating suffering in individuals, families, and society.
